SURGICAL TREATMENT OF ACUTE VERTEBRAL
AND CEREBROSPINAL TRAUMA

Summary – In this article the authors offer a policy of exam'
ination and treatment of patients with complicated spinal
column trauma in the circumstances of time'urgent neuro'
surgical department. The practical use of the suggested ap'
proach in Municipal clinical hospital No. 2 of Vladivostok in
187 cases allowed improving considerably the treatment re'
sults of this serious category of patients. A wide range of spi'
nal column operative interventions had been used, and by the
treatment outcomes, satisfactory and good results were at'
tained as to 155 persons.
