The article is devoted to illegal acquisition, keeping, transportation, manufacture and processing with
no intent on selling of narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances or their analogues viewed in the article 6.8
of the Administrative Offences Code of the Russian Federation and article 228 of the Criminal Code of the
Russian Federation. Special attention is paid to classification of these actions, in particular, to the object
of unlawful infringement. The author comes to conclusions on expediency of changing the current legislation,
which regulates criteria of attribution of narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances or their analogues in
illicit traffic to a small, large and particularly large scale.
