legal analysis of the Art. 230 of the Russian Criminal Code
and the Dutch criminal law legislation in the relevant field
in order to find out if the crime under this article can be
considered as one of such criminal acts. The author used
comparative method, and also methods of interpretation
and context analysis; Dutch regulations and scientific articles were studied. In conclusion the author draws conclusions what are the legal consequences for committing an
act on the territory of the Netherlands if this act is similar
the one described under the Art. 230 of the Russian Criminal Code, what are the similarities and the differences between the Russian and the Dutch way to solve the problem.

Annotation: The subject of this study is a research of the
Dutch criminal law concerning the regulation of crimes related to illicit trafficking of the narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances. Both Russia and the Netherlands are
State Parties to the United Nations and respectively follow
the norms of the international law contained in the conventions they have signed. Among these rules the rules governing the legal and illegal drug trafficking can be mentioned. As a consequence some of the criminal acts are
common to the criminal legal systems of both countries. In
this article the author attempts to perform a comparative
