The liver resection in many cases of liver and hepatic duct diseases remains as a method of
choice. Despite cumulative experience in different medical centers intra- and postoperative
morbidity and mortality rates still seem to be too high. Application of modern technologies
promotes to improve results.
In the article clinical and experimental experience of liver water-jet dissection and standard
parenchyma disclasion is compared and analyzed. Effectiveness and safety of the water-jet
dissector in the liver resection is stated. A brief revue of different modern methods of the liver
dissection in presented.
